We’re through the S generation of the iPhone 5, and that means it’s time for a brand new iPhone. Regardless of this, no matter what generation, a new iPhone model always sparks a heated discussion as to what new features Apple will choose to incorporate in it. For now, we have the upcoming iPhone 6. We’ve heard a lot of iPhone 6 rumors, and have compiled them into one article so you know what’s going on.
The design of any Apple device is one of its most important characteristics. After all, when was the last time we saw an ugly Apple device? For the iPhone 6, Apple might be trying out a new slimmer, more rounded design. If leaked images are to be believed, the iPhone 6 will look a lot like the new HTC One M8 thanks to the new rounded edges of the device.
The size of the iPhone might be going up as well. Most reports say that the new iPhone will actually be offered in two sizes on launch. One will be your standard 4.7 inch model and the other a bigger, more phablet-like 5.5 inch. Both will of course have the full HD resolution, but some industry experts have said that Apple might not be that quick to jump to full HD. One thing’s for certain though, the iPhone will be getting bigger this year.
You would expect it to be a natural move, but reports suggest that Apple may not increase the megapixel count of the rear camera on the next iPhone. That’s right, Apple might be sticking with the 8 megapixel resolution for now. Instead, Apple is said to be focusing on other parts of the camera, like increasing the pixel size for better low-light photography.
Apple has always taken a different approach to smartphones, and the success of previous iPhone (which were smaller) tells us that the Apple customer base just wants a quality product. It’s never been a numbers game when it comes to an iPhone. The release of the iPhone 6 is still a mystery but if previous trends are to be believed, then the next iPhone will be released near September this year.
