In an ideal world, we’d be able to keep a tab on all of the thing that we love and care about. But real life is much harsher than that. Our pets get lost, our bikes/cars get stolen, and the worst of all, our loved ones can disappear in the blink of an eye. Fortunately however, technology comes once again to our rescue. Traditionally, there have been special tracker services that would charge a monthly fee and keep track of your subject’s location. That sort of convenience is expensive and out of the reach for most, and it’s not exactly the most efficient way either. That’s where BluTracker comes, it’s a tracking system of your own that uses long range Bluetooth 4.0 to track your subjects.
The designers of BluTracker say that lost pets are usually just 1 or 2 blocks away from their homes. Yet they’re particularly difficult to track because of the nook and crannies they can get into. Similarly it doesn’t take a moment for a predator to kidnap a child while you were glancing over your shoulder. BluTracker can be attached to a variety of surfaces. You can then connect BluTracker to your smartphone to keep a tab on your subject’s location to within 10 feet of the exact location.
BluTracker uses Bluetooth 4.0 to aid with the tracking. But it’s not just regular Bluetooth because the BluTracker engineers have designed special in-house RFID chips that use an amplified signal to give the device a range of about 2500 feet(for the US version). Coupled with the GPS engine built-in into the device, you can use the smartphone app to see exactly where your subject is within the specified range. You can even specify a custom range and the app will alert you if your subject leaves the area range. The BluTracker also has motion-sensors which will alert you if your subject is stationary or moving.
The BluTracker can be used for a multitude of security/practical purposes. BluTracker can be used as an effective security measure for your bike/vehicle. And because this is your very own little tracking system, you’ll be notified immediately if something out of the ordinary happens. What makes this BluTracker system so effective is that it’s inconspicuous and a largely hassle-free experience – the battery lasts for about 2 months on a single charge and the device is about the size of a USB flash drive.
The BluTracker has already been funded successfully through its Kickstarter campaign, but there’s still plenty of early-bird special slots left for you to take. The price of the BluTracker via the Kickstarter campaign currently sits at $69 a piece, quite a bit less than its 85 dollar price tag when it goes on retail.
