Everyone has been waiting with bated breath for the HTC M7. The One series was an excellent effort by HTC to take the top smartphone crown back but unfortunately, Samsung came out with the Galaxy SIII and HTC failed to please the crowds despite an update of One X+, that added some more oomph to the One X.
HTC M7 named HTC One?
Now that the ‘ridiculously large screen size for smartphone’ wars have begun, HTC will unveil its HTC M7, which might just be called the HTC One according to recent rumors. There has been some speculation as to what the new flagship will be called and this one seems most probable in our opinion because it makes sense for HTC to use the brand awareness it has built around the One brand.
This particular rumor was brought to our attention by evleaks [tweet] and the Twitter account has a good reputation for releasing information about unreleased smartphones. We should also mention that HTC CEO, Peter Chou, was chanting ‘HTC One’ right after ‘HTC M7’ at a inside event recently.
HTC M7 Rumors:
The rumours suggest that the HTC M7 will be powered by a 1.7 GHz Quad-Core processor and have a 4.7 inch 1080p screen. The HTC M7 smartphone will run on Android Jelly Bean 4.2 and will have 4G LTE connectivity. Other HTC M7 features include NFC and an all new HTC Sense 5.0 that is much simpler than its predecessors. The HTC M7 will have a body that is similar to the one seen on the HTC Droid DNA.
The most interesting bit is that the HTC M7 will have a 4.3 UltraPixel camera that foregos the usual arrangement and instead uses 3 sensor layers of 4.3 megapixel on top of each other for a 13MP shooter. HTC M7 is said that this would make for crisper, sharper images and more accurate colors. How well will this arrangement work and will it be leaps and bounds over similar cameras remains to be seen though.
