According to the latest leak on Samsung’s set Galaxy Q, it will be similar to Galaxy S in a number of ways.
The phone will run on Froyo (Android 2.2) but that does not make much difference as Galaxy S will soon be getting a Froyo update itself.
The processor, storage, and connectivity options remain more or less the same: 1GHz Hummingbird CPU, 16GB storage, Bluetooth 3.0, and Wi-Fi 802.11n.
Galaxy Q’s display will be smaller than that of Galaxy S, sadly. Where the Galaxy S had a 4-inch 800×480 screen, Galaxy Q will have a 3-inch 720×480 S-AMOLED screen.
Camera-wise, Galaxy Q will definitely be preferred over Galaxy S. The rear camera has been upgraded from 5 megapixels to 8, and the front facing VGA camera has been upgraded to a 1.3 megapixel camera.
Galaxy Q will feature multi-touch as well as a full QWERTY keypad. From the leak, the dimensions suggest it will have a candy bar form factor.
Hopefully the next leak regarding the set will contain a photo, a price, availability, and a release date.
